 WapiPay co-founders deny allegations of Gender Based Violence

Wapi Pay Co-founders, Paul and Eddie have denied accusations of Gender Based Violence as captured in a video circulating on social media.

In a statement by Wapi Pay – the two described the claims as distasteful and troubling as it does not reflect their values or that of Wapi Pay.

“Our understanding is that the allegations and video currently being shared on social media, albeit horrific and regrettable, do not depict the true events that transpired that night. To be clear, Paul and Eddie got involves in an attempt to neutralize a confrontation between two women and to defend themselves from certain aggressors.” Said the statement.

…the two described the claims as distasteful and troubling as it does not reflect their values or that of Wapi Pay.

It is alleged that the two twin brothers were involved in an altercation at a popular hotel in Nairobi after unidentified women allegedly refused to hang out with them.

The Kenyan based fintech with offices in Nairobi, Singapore and Tranjin noted that the matter has so far been reported to the police and the Director of Criminal Investigations for further investigations and resolution.
